Microblasters were a category of blaster characterised as small and easy to conceal. They conformed to the basic idea of a blaster, unlike the A95 Stingbeam, which also competed within the niche microblaster market.[1]
Behind the scenes
Microblasters were mentioned in the the new Star Wars canon in Gadgets and Gear, a 2019 role-playing supplement released by Fantasy Flight Games.[1] The weapons originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they first appeared in "Blasters for Hire," a 1994 article written by Tony Russo and published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 3.[2]
