Micro-maneuvering controls were X-wing starfighter maneuvering components. Wedge Antilles' X-wing, Red 2, had its micro-maneuvering controls destroyed,[1] forcing him to pull out of the attack run in the Death Star's trench.[2] Antilles was forced to nurse his fighter back to Yavin 4.[1]
