- "I don't believe it. Red Four, she just…just plowed right into him."
"Red Four's name was Micha. She must have thought it was worth it. I can't argue. It was Darth Vader. What Micha did…she just saved a lot of lives." - ―Two rebels, on Micha's sacrifice
Micha was a female pilot who served in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Imperial Era, holding the callsign Red Four in Red Squadron.[2]
During a battle against the Galactic Empire,[2] around 1 BBY,[1] Micha chose to crash her X-wing starfighter into Darth Vader, a Sith Lord and enforcer of Emperor Palpatine, sacrificing her own life in an attempt to kill him. While the other rebels present during the battle assumed Vader had perished in the crash, the Sith Lord had survived, and used the Force to throw the wreckage aside, proceeding to attack the rebels.[2]
Behind the scenes
Micha was first mentioned in "Red Four," a one-page comic story written by Charles Soule and published in Marvel Comics 1000, a comic book published by Marvel Comics[2] on August 28, 2019 in celebration of the company's eightieth anniversary.[3]
