Mephilis Corporation was a company that had dominated the strength-enhancing wearables market for centuries by the time of the Galactic Civil War. The exoglove was typical of the company's products, not only enhancing strength but also having a grappling hook concealed in each of the fingers for workers to drag crates toward them.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Mephilis Corporation was mentioned in the 2018 Star Wars Roleplaying supplement Gadgets and Gear, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games.[1] The company originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity where they were first mentioned in the 2003 BioWare video game, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.[2]
