A Neimoidian served as chief adviser for the Shryke family on the planet Bantoo during the High Republic Era. Between 230 BBY and 229 BBY,[2] the planet was attacked by the Nihil, a group of pirates that operated in the Outer Rim. While witnessing the attack from her balcony in her home, Melis Shryke eventually decided to join the marauders. After dressing in armor and killing her father in his sleep, she eventually interrogated the Neimoidian for access to her family's vault. Confused, the chief adviser refused to do so until Shryke murdered two of his underlings, to which the Neimoidian complied and gave Shryke access to the vault. Shryke then took the credits from the vault and tossed them to General Abediah Viess, who smiled at Shryke in return.[1]

Behind the scenes

The chief adviser was first mentioned in the 2023 novel The High Republic: The Eye of Darkness, written by George Mann and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3]
