A medical capsule was a type of specialized repulsorsled that was used for the transporting of injured individuals.

Palpatine kept a PMC-210 medical capsule aboard his Theta-class shuttle, and used it to transport the severely-wounded Darth Vader from the lava fields of Mustafar, and later into the Emperor Palpatine Surgical Reconstruction Center for emergency surgery.
