The Medal of Honor was an award given to members of the Imperial Military who had performed honorably in their service. It was more common and considered less prestigious than the Distinguished Medal of Imperial Honor.[1]
Following the Battle of Jakku, Lieutenant Dalven Kyrell suggested that the purportedly dead Captain Ciena Ree deserved a Medal of Honor instead of the Distinguished Medal. However, his Commander Nash Windrider disagreed and pointed out that she had allegedly died trying to deny the New Republic access to the Imperial Star Destroyer Inflictor.[1]
