- "There are three basic types in the galaxy: those of the Empire, those of the Rebellion, and everyone else. We of the Empire accomplish everything, the Rebels oppose everything, and the rest just get in the way."
- ―Lieutenant Maximilian Vox, to a spacer
Maximilian Vox was a male Human officer of the Galactic Empire who lived during the Galactic Civil War.
Biography
- "You are a hero of the Empire and a shining beacon for all those who desire peace and harmony in the galaxy. It has been an honor for you to serve with me. I'm sure you agree."
- ―Lieutenant Maximilian Vox, to a spacer
Sometime after 0 BBY, Lieutenant Maximilian Vox was the immediate superior of Commander Arlan Barrezz and was based out of Kaadara on Naboo.[1] In 1 ABY,[3] he worked with a spacer who had previously worked with Commander Barrezz on Tatooine. Vox tasked the operative with retrieving several droid modules dating back to the time of the Old Republic. The objective of Vox was to recreate a powerful droid artificial intelligence technology that was lost over the years. In the meantime, the droid modules were also wanted by the operatives of the Rebel Agent Wilson Tchorshel.[1] The spacer found the positional awareness triangulator chip in a mouse droid used by the Skaak Tippers in their hideout.[4] The decentralized autonomy chip was given by the Hutt crime lord Borvo after the spacer managed to compromise the security of Borvo's Vault.[5] The spacer recovered the strategy/tactics simulation chip after destroying a droideka in the Stonewall Labs headquarters, thanks to the assistance of Professor Zanier Hudmasse.[6] Finally, the spacer retrieved the stochastic decision chip with the help of Boss Nass by destroying a super battle droid in possession of the Ultragungan Militia.[7] The operative was successful and was then awarded the Medal of the Emperor's Fist by Maximilian Vox. With the four modules reunited, Vox quickly left Naboo in order to transfer the AI modules to Imperial scientists and droid engineers.[2]

- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
