The massacre at Asyrphus took place on the terrestrial astronomical object Asyrphus,[2] between the years 1 BBY and 3 ABY,[1] when the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry faced a bombardment that saw the deaths of many of its troopers, including its comm tech and her droid. During the attack on Haidoral Prime[2] in 3 ABY,[1] Hazram Namir, a soldier in the 61st who knew the technician, remembered the massacre on Asyrphus when recalling his time with her. Later that year, he compared the losses the 61st took on Asyrphus to the company's recent losses in its command structure.[2]
Behind the scenes
The massacre at Asyrphus was mentioned in the 2015 novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, written by Alexander Freed.[2]

Notes and references
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 Star Wars: Timelines dates the main events of Battlefront: Twilight Company, including the mention of the massacre at Asyrphus, to 3 ABY. In the novel, Hazram Namir, who was present for the massacre, joined the 61st Mobile Infantry shortly after the Battle of the Tower, which occurs nineteen years after the Clone Wars in the novel, and before the Battle of Yavin. Since Star Wars: Timelines places the end of the Clone Wars in 19 BBY, the massacre at Asyrphus must have occurred sometime between 1 BBY and 3 ABY.
