Mannova was a terrestrial celestial body located in the Mannova system, a part of the Gordian Reach sector in the Trans-Hydian portion of the Outer Rim Territories. A hyperlane linked it to the Betshish system.[1]
Mannova was used as an industrial dumping ground, resulting in it undergoing an ecological disaster and featuring mountains of junk on its surface. The astronomical object was home to the sentient Mannovan species, members of which displayed sardonic attitude and were apparently unconcerned about the fate of their homeworld.[1]
Mannova's junkyards were frequently scoured by speculators and scavengers as well as individuals seeking parts that were otherwise impossible to find. During the fighting of the Galactic Civil War after the Battle of Yavin, scavengers brought wrecked starship parts and equipment to Mannova in bulk, resulting in fruitful business for the celestial body's residents.[1]

Mannova was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square Q-5.[1]
