Mandlertoks were a type of lizard that could be eaten by humans when skewered and cooked over a fire. At some point, the human general Leia Organa ate a skewered mandlertok during a culinary ritual as part of her diplomatic duties.[1] In 5 ABY,[2] she thought about the many rituals she had partaken in during her travels and reminisced that skewered mandlertoks tasted quite good despite the sensation of them popping when one bit into them.[1]
Behind the scenes
Mandlertoks were mentioned in Aftermath: Life Debt, a 2016 novel written by Chuck Wendig as the second installment in Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy.[1]
