Malastare Narrows was a location on the planet Malastare[1] in the Mid Rim Territories.[3] In 34 BBY,[4] prior to the outbreak of the Clone Wars[5] between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems,[2] a Corporate Alliance[6] fleet commanded by the Harch Admiral Trench had formed a blockade around Malastare.[2]

The Republic then dispatched a fleet of starships to break Trench's blockade and destroy his fleet,[2] but were pushed back several times with significant losses sustained.[6] Afterward, the matters were resolved when a task force[2] led by Jedi Master Kep-She[7] destroyed Trench's flagship. The outcome led to presumptions of the Harch's death, including by Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. However, Trench was discovered to have survived the battle, as he led a Separatist blockade at the Battle of Christophsis during the Clone Wars[2] in 22 BBY.[4]

Malastare Narrows was first mentioned in "Cat and Mouse,"[2] the sixteenth episode of the second season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, which aired on March 26, 2010.[7]
