The lightsabers of Taron Malicos - an example of the Magus style.
Magus was a style of lightsaber hilt that came in both single and double-bladed varieties. Lightsabers wrought in the style featured emitters with two spike-like protrusions on either side, and elaborate engravings. The hilt then tapered off into a square-patterned section which connected to a ringed handgrip and pointed pommel. For the double-bladed styles, the pommels connected together.[1]
By 14 BBY,[2] the fallen Jedi General Taron Malicos wielded two identical lightsabers fashioned in the Magus style during his time on the planet Dathomir as the leader of a clan of the Nightbrother warrior group. These sabers were comprised of mainly bronze, as well as a chrome colored alloy highlights, a black grip, and emitted scarlet blades.[1] In 14 BBY,[2] Malicos wielded his Magus lightsabers against Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis during the latter's excursion to Dathomir as part of a secret mission to rebuild the Jedi Order.[1]
