The magnetic flashback suppressor was a piece of technology affixed to starship laser cannons. During the New Republic Era, laser cannon technology advanced to the point where magnetic flashback suppressors were viewed as unnecessary. For this reason, Taim & Bak declined to attach them to their KX14 laser cannon, though some T-85 X-wing pilots would install customized suppressors instead.[1]
