During the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, a clone trooper regiment of the Galactic Marines served under High Jedi General Mace Windu, stopping Separatist planetary invasions across the galaxy.
Description
Under one of[1] twenty-one legions[5] out of the 4th Sector Army's[2] Galactic Marines, the regiment lead by[1] High Jedi General[2] Mace Windu totalled 2,304 clone troopers,[5] with added support personnel.[6] The regiment had a clone regimental commander acting as the second-in-command of the unit,[3] along with a clone trooper colonel as one of its officers.[4] Following the Grand Army of the Republic's Order of Battle, the regiment had four clone battalions under its command.[5]
At least one clone trooper within Mace Windu's regiment wore customized[1] synthmesh Phase II clone trooper armor, with a kama, pauldrons,[7] pouches, a backpack, and two pistol holsters. The armor had purple and light blue markings. The trooper was equipped with a[1] DC-15A blaster rifle[7] and a pair of[1] DC-17 hand blasters.[7]
History
As the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems raged in the galaxy, following its start at the First Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY,[8] Jedi Master Mace Windu put aside his diplomatic mantle to become a High Jedi General, and eventually took control of one of the clone trooper regiments out of the 4th Sector Army's Galactic Marines. During the war, Mace Windu and his regiment fought on several worlds to stop the Separatists from invading them, and were at one point within the[1] Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant[8]

Mace Windu's regiment of Galactic Marines was created by Hasbro for their 2007 Target-exclusive Star Wars: 30th Anniversary Collection's Order 66 line of action figures. The set containing the regiment shows the incorrect figure on its box art—a trooper with armor similar to that of a Galactic Marine—while the figure is a repaint of a Galactic Marine.[1]
