A lightsaber was created by Jedi Master Mace Windu for practice purposes prior to his ascension to the Jedi High Council, with a single, switch-activated purple blade and lightsaber crystals imbued by Windu himself.[1]
Master Windu loaned the lightsaber to a Jedi Padawan who was later killed on an assignment to the Outer Rim. The weapon subsequently passed through many hands before coming into the possession of the Omwati Dark Jedi Bleth Fahr[1] by 31 BBY,[2] at which time Windu held no expectations that the saber would be recovered.[1]
Behind the scenes
Mace Windu's practice lightsaber was introduced by Morrie Mullins in 2002's Coruscani Dawn, a Wizards of the Coast RPGA Star Wars Roleplaying Game scenario of the Living Force campaign, in which it is provided to Jedi player characters who successfully complete the scenario during its premiere at the Celebration II event.[1]
