Mace Windu's Jedi fighter[5] was a Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor flown by Jedi Master Mace Windu. R8-B7 was Windu's astromech droid copilot, but after R8's destruction, R2-D2 commandeered the starfighter.[3]
History
Jedi General Mace Windu flew the Delta-7B interceptor during the Clone Wars. In 21 BBY, the fighter was carried aboard the Venator-class Star Destroyer Endurance when it was fatally sabotaged by Boba Fett in an attempt to kill Windu. Windu used the fighter to escape the Endurance before it crashed into the planet Vanqor,[4] later landing with it to search the wreckage for survivors. When Windu's astromech, R8-B7, was destroyed by Gundarks, Anakin Skywwalker's droid R2-D2, would later pilot the vessel away from the planet to summon help to rescue the Jedi, who had become trapped on the Endurance's bridge.[3]
