Lyoon was a famous Jedi Master and Daymon Thorn's teacher. While traveling through space, the two Jedi became trapped aboard the Gorgorror, a biotechnological ship that captured other ships in order to sustain itself. They eventually joined forces with fellow trapped survivors Yele l'Ecumeuse and Brother Suunfuus to attempt to escape from the ship. Deep into the hull of the ship, the group found a chamber full of large crystals called Korendums. The power of the crystal tempted Thorn, which caused him to fall to the dark side of the Force and kill Lyoon. The three remaining survivors each took a crystal and escaped the ship.
After his death, Lyoon resided on the Gorgorror as a Force ghost. He came to learn of Thorn's plan to steal the other two Korendums to be used in a weapon. A group of Rebels who sought Suunfuus and his crystal, the last crystal Thorn needed, were captured by the Gorgorror. It was there that they met the once famous Jedi Master Lyoon who told them what had happened to him on the ship. The Jedi Master bestowed upon the Rebels an anti Korendum, which could dissipate the energy of a Korendum, and his lightsaber. He then sent them forth to escape the Gorgorror and stop Thorn from obtaining the last Korendum.
Biography
The ghost ship
The Jedi Daymon Thorn, Lyoon's student.
Lyoon was a famous Jedi Master of the Jedi Order. He mentored multiple Jedi, including Daymon Thorn whom he considered his best student. While journeying through space with Daymon Thorn, their ship was captured by the Gorgorror. The Gorgorror was a gigantic, biotechnological ship that wandered the galaxy, capturing ships in order to obtain essential raw materials to sustain itself. Lyoon and Thorn were not the first to be trapped inside the ancient ship, and they lived among other inhabitants who came to be known as the Mécateks.[2]
They eventually became acquainted with the adventurer Yele l'Ecumeuse and the Ithorian scientist Brother Suunfuus. The four joined their efforts to brave the dangers of the ship and escape, which lead them to discover large crystals known as Korendums. Tempted by the crystals' power, and no other solution for escape, Daymon Thorn succumbed to the dark side of the Force and murdered Lyoon. After Thorn's betrayal, the three each took a Korendum crystal and escaped from the ship. The Jedi Master lived on, however, as a Force ghost within the chamber he was killed in.[2]
The three Korendums

By the time of the Galactic Civil War, at some point during or after 0 ABY,[3] Lyoon's student Daymon Thorn rose through the ranks of the Galactic Empire and became known as the Emperor's war dog. Though his ghost resided in the Gorgorror, Lyoon was aware of Thorn's treachery and plan to steal the two other Korendums and use them to power a weapon.[2]
Daymon Thorn eventually stole Yele l'Ecumeuse's Korendum, which Lyoon also knew about. At this time, a group of Rebels were trying to stop Thorn from acquiring all three Korendums. Their journey was leading them to find Brother Suunfuus, however, they were eventually captured by the Gorgorror. After being accepted into the Mécatek society, the rebels asked what lied beyond the hull of the ship. One of the Mécateks stated that no one who entered the hull ever came back, not even these four strangers who seemed sure of themselves.[2]
The group made their way though the ship, where they met the once famous Jedi Master. Lyoon told the rebels that they were chosen for this moment. He told them what happened on the ship; that he was trapped here with his student, that they joined forces with Suunfuus and Yele, and that he was ultimately betrayed. Lyoon was unsure how the three had escaped in the past, though he suspected that they journeyed to the heart of the ship, where Lyoon sensed a powerful entity, and Daymon Thorn convinced the entity to help them escape. Lyoon then stated that the only thing that mattered now was that the group of rebels stopped Thorn before he could get the final crystal. The Jedi Master then entrusted the rebels with a strange, black stone called an anti Korendum. He explained that the anti Korendum has the power to dissipate a Korendum's energy. He then bestowed upon them his lightsaber, and sent them off to finish their mission.[2]

Lyoon was Force-sensitive and was able to achieve the rank of Jedi Master within the Jedi Order. After his death, he was able to come back as a Force ghost.[2]
