The Lumini pirates were a pirate group led by a smuggler named Kaerobani.
A significant conflict between the pirates and the New Republic occurred in 10 ABY when the pirates, using an Interdictor cruiser, pulled a Republic CR90 corvette out of hyperspace and stole the Holocron it was transporting. The pirates however didn't count on Mara Jade, who was stationed onboard. After arriving at the pirates' orbital shipyard via a crate, she stowed away on a ship to Kaerobani's base on Rathalay. There, due largely to the raiders' sloppiness, Jade was able to recover the Holocron and escape.
Composition
Aside from their Interdictor cruiser, the only other capital ship known to be operated by the pirates was a Nebulon-B escort frigate, which docked with the New Republic corvette to receive plundered cargo. The Lumini Pirates also made use of various starfighter models commonly used by other pirate groups, such as T-wings, R-41 Starchasers, and Z-95 Headhunters, but they notably also used Assault Gunboats. They were also known to be in possession of Delta-class DX-9 troop transports.
Though made up primarily of humans, Noghri guards were known to be present at Kaerobani's fortress.
