Loposi Three's moon was a natural satellite of the world Loposi Three.[3] It was situated in the Loposi system, a part of the Dustig sector[1] in the Trailing Sectors portion of[3] the Mid Rim.[1] Along with the rest of the Loposi system, the moon was located on the system of hyperlanes known as the Gevarno Loop.[4]
At some point, Loposi Three's moon was transformed to have an artificial atmosphere of nutrient-rich gases. The moon's air was derived from liquid kolto[3]—a healing agent whose only known source was[5] the Inner Rim[6] planet Manaan.[5]
Around 3643 BBY,[7] an individual affiliated with one of the sides in the then-ongoing struggle between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire sent a companion to investigate the effects of the healing gases of Loposi Three's moon. The companion researched the effects on colonies of bacteria, with the experiments leading to noteworthy mutations in the organisms.[3]
Behind the scenes
Loposi Three's moon was introduced in a Bioanalysis Crew Skill mission of Star Wars: The Old Republic, a 2011 video game developed by BioWare, though the information regarding the mission's outcome was later removed from the game.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Loposi system, and therefore the moon, in grid square M-18,[6] though the StarWars.com Online Companion to the book later changed the placement to grid square M-17 instead.[1]

- ↑ Per the reasoning here, Act I of Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place around 3643 BBY. Since players of The Old Republic can assign their companions on the mission "The Healing Moon" independently of the main class storyline at any point during the game, the mission must take place at some point around 3643 BBY.
