"A village on the little red moon over Buna. They had pirates. The local lord sent some of his most trusted Jedi, but the reports stopped. He sent more Jedi, and they found no one left. No pirates, no Jedi, no villagers. Nothing at all."
―An aunty[1]

The little red moon over Buna was a small and red-colored natural satellite that orbited the astronomical object Buna. A terrestrial moon, it was inhabited and possessed at least one village. While on the Outer Rim planet Genbara, a former Sith referred to as the Ronin—who was traveling alongside his astromech droid R5-D56 and former Jedi known as the Traveler—overheard a woman in a group discussing having learned on the HoloNet that individuals were going missing on the moon. While disregarded as hearsay by one of the people in the group, according to the woman's account, the local lord sent some of his most trusted Jedi to deal with pirates, but they never returned. He then sent more Jedi, but ultimately all of the Jedi, pirates, and the villagers who lived on the moon were found to have disappeared, amidst the backdrop of a series of similar incidents involving a Sith witch.[1]

Behind the scenes

The little red moon over Buna was mentioned in the 2021 non-canon novel Ronin: A Visions Novel, written by Emma Mieko Candon.[1]
