The Linear Miasma was a pocket of space gas, comprised mostly of bacta, located in the Endor system. It was formed when a half million tons of bacta was released from the destruction of the B-12 Bacta Transport Suveron. Although it was not suitable for medicinal use anymore, the bacta survived the vacuum of space. This unique phenomenon made the Linear Miasma popular among research communities.[3] During the Galactic Civil War, it was frequented by the Linear Miasma Scientists, belonging to the Endorian Researchers Guild. The scientists proved to be a friendly bunch time and time again despite the presence of the Spice Pirates, and the Zynt'aia Spice Guardians, both of whom resided nearby.[2]
