A light-minute was a unit of measurement used in the galaxy. It was used to measure distances between stars and planets. The perihelions of orbits within the Goroth system were measured in light-minutes from the star Goroth Alpha; Oris' perihelion was 2.6 light-minutes, Goroth Prime's was 7.1 light-minutes, Denava was 40.7 light-minutes, Denbalen was 67.2 light-minutes, and Goroth Beta was 340.3 light-minutes.[1] Electrotelescopes were capable of detecting small freighters at a range of five light-minutes.[2]
