Goroth Beta was the brown dwarf companion of Goroth Alpha. It orbited Goroth Alpha beyond the orbits of the Goroth system's planets. Goroth Beta had a 227,575-kilometer diameter.

Behind the scenes

The canonical diameter for this brown dwarf is scientifically impossible. Real world brown dwarfs are slightly smaller than gas giants, because they are compressed by their much stronger gravity. The maximum theoretical radius of a brown dwarf, physically impossible, would be about sixty-thousand kilometers.[2]
