During the Kymoodon Era of the Republic, Lexrul was located beyond the frontier of the Republic. The Hutts considered the colonization of Lexrul as an incursion into their outlying domain and an act of war. In response, they launched an assault against Lexrul and deployed captured slaves from other colonies as cyborg berserkers into a ceremonial battle. Following this attack, the Republic issued a public advisory that warned against colonizing rimward by detailing the horrors that occurred on Lexrul and other worlds. ^[4]
