- "Quit your bellyaching, Leo. Let me see it. Shoot. That ain't gonna heal. Sorry, hon. Not your day."
[Cimmaron shoots Leo]
"Way of the world, Leo. Rather you in the ground peaceful then someone's dinner." - ―Mosey Cimmaron
Leo was a nekko who was the faithful companion of the hunter Mosey Cimmaron.[2] By 9 BBY,[1] the pair got into a scrape where Leo was fatally wounded. In a mesa-side alcove in the Rambler's Reach Valley on the planet Koboh, Cimmaron told the nekko to stop complaining and looked at the wound. Upon realising that it would not heal, the hunter decided it would be better for her companion to die peacefully than be eaten by others. With a solemn understanding and as much compassion as she could muster, Cimmaron then put Leo down with a blaster bolt. She buried her companion in a grave in the alcove surrounded by several small cairns and lit with a wall-mounted lamp.[2]
In 9 BBY,[1] the Jedi Knight Cal Kestis discovered the grave and listened to Leo's final moments through an echo in the Force.[2]
Behind the scenes
Leo can be heard during a Force Echo in the 2023 Respawn Entertainment video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Discovering the Force Echo is optional but this article assumes it was done as part of one-hundred percent game completion.[2]

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on StarWars.com (backup link) dates Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which equates to 9 BBY per Star Wars: Timelines. As Survivor establishes Leo had died on Koboh by the events of the game, they must have perished by that year.
