Lathe was a Nikto guard for the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure.
Biography
Lathe was a Kajain'sa'Nikto[2] male[3] who served the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure as a guard and information broker at[2] the Desilijic Complex in the spaceport city Mos Eisley[6] on the planet Tatooine. In addition to his duties at the complex, he also served as a skiff guard for the Hutt.[5] He longed to leave the world to see what the galaxy had to offer[2] and, at one point, was in the process of leaving.[3]
In 4 ABY,[1] Jabba ordered that the Jedi Luke Skywalker and his friends Han Solo and Chewbacca be fed to the sarlacc that resided in the Great Pit of Carkoon in the Dune Sea on Tatooine after the death of his rancor at his palace. Lathe traveled on a Bantha-II cargo skiff piloted by the Skrilling Pote Snitkin to the site while Jabba's prisoners rode on a second skiff.[7]
Personality and traits
Lathe was a vile individual who, deep down, loathed the slave trade.[3] He was loyal to Jabba, had orange skin,[5] and yellow eyes.[4]
Behind the scenes
Decipher's card of Lathe mistakenly shows an image of Nysad in Jabba's Palace. Star Wars Insider 143 retconned him as a different Nikto character on the skiff. He was portrayed by an uncredited extra.
