Laser lens

Laser lenses were parts sold in Flix and Orka's Office of Acquisitions on the supertanker fuel depot Colossus. The lens were small, gray ring-shaped objects with brown components and a clear magnifying lens in the center.^[1]

After getting his hand bit by the gorg Bitey^[1] in 34 ABY,^[2] the First Order spy Teroj Kee asked for the Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono—who was watching the Office of Acquisitions to repay a debt to Flix and Orka—to deliver ten laser lenses, alongside three tool kits and a crate of connector rods, to his storage locker at loading dock 23, in a ruse intended to draw Xiono away from the shop so Kee could steal a phase connector.^[1]

When Xiono left to deliver the parts, some were dropped, including a few laser lenses. As he picked them back up, he looked through a laser lens while telling BB-8 to mind the Office of Acquisitions while he made the delivery. After making the sham delivery, Xiono was held at blasterpoint by Kee in the locker and trapped inside of it. As dock worker Glem prepared to drop the locker into^[1] the planet^[3] Castilon's waters at Kee's request, Xiono scrambled to find a way out, eventually deciding to utilize the laser lenses to intensify the stream of a blowtorch he found in the locker. Using this strategy, Xiono managed to barely escape just as the locker—alongside the lenses inside—was dropped.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Laser lenses were mentioned in "Dangerous Business,"^[1] the thirteenth episode of Star Wars Resistance's first season, which premiered on Disney Channel on January 20, 2019.^[4]
