(info)
Lamproid was a language spoken by[1] Dice Ibegon, a member of the Lamproid species, while she[3] was conversing with the Pacithhip[2] Ketwol,[4] who was speaking in Shimiese,[1] as they sat together[2] in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley spaceport on the planet[5] Tatooine[2] in 0 BBY.[6]
Behind the scenes
The Lamproid language was first heard in the 1977 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.[7] The language heard in the film was then identified as Lamproid in the 2019 video "Every Language in Star Wars Movies," which was part of the Star Wars By the Numbers series created by StarWarsKids.com.[1]
