A boarding house or lodging house was owned by Lady Jara in Ferdan, on Dalna.[1] It was known locally as the only place off-worlders stayed when they visited Dalna.[2] Jara considered the place a "respectable establishment." There were identical rooms on two stories, including pairs of adjoining rooms. The rooms featured small sitting areas and were simple but clean. Meals were served in the dining room that had a long table, benches, and a chandelier. The evening meal was served at sunsdown, and might feature foods such as bar-fish gelatin with white gravy, while breakfast might be local pink-yolked eggs over grain porridge. A common area at the entrance to the house had a dejarik board. A garden tended by a droid was kept behind the building with flowers and vegetables, with a small lawn nearby that had teal grass.[1]
Jedi Kevmo Zink and Zallah Macri stayed in the lodging house when they visited Dalna in 382 BBY. Republic official Yarli Yren also stayed there for a time. Journalist Ric Farazi planned to stay at the lodging house, but was instead invited to stay in the Path of the Open Hand compound.[1]
