The LX-9 slap charge was a type of slap charge bomb manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc. and used by the Rebel Alliance. It was coated with a magnatomic adhesion backing which allowed it to stick to surfaces, and a timer, whose countdown was displayed on the top side of the bomb.[1] Slap charges could also be detonated remotely.[3]
In 5 BBY, the Axis network's Aldhani rebel infiltration team used a pair of these charges during their robbery of the Aldhani dam in order to blow the safety chains off the credit trays in the base's vault. After successfully freeing the trays from their restraints, the rebels forced the base's Imperial staff to load them on a Max-7 Rono box freighter.[2]
