Kyra was a human Jedi youngling[1] who was part of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era. While on the Starlight Beacon space station[3] around 230 BBY.[4] Jedi Masters Torban Buck and Kantam Sy told Kyra and fellow younglings Gabino and Kaimo about a rescue mission conducted during the Great Hyperspace Disaster.[3]

Kyra had brown eyes, dark skin, and dark brown hair she kept partially styled in braids. While aboard Starlight Beacon, she wore tan Jedi robes with a brown undershirt.[3]

Behind the scenes

Kyra first appeared in the one-shot comic-book The High Republic Adventures: Galactic Bake-Off Spectacular, which was written by Daniel José Older and Vita Ayala, illustrated by Toni Bruno and Jo Cheol-Hong, and published by IDW Publishing[5] on January 19, 2022.[6] The one-shot was part of the Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures comic series[5] released within the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[7] On Twitter, Older revealed that Kyra's pronouns were "she/her."[2]
