Vita Ayala (born March 1[1] in New York City,[2] New York, United States)[3] is an American author who primarily works on comic books. They[2] wrote "Tales of Villainy: Trade Relations," the secondary story featured in the ninth issue of IDW Publishing's 2020 comic-book series Star Wars Adventures,[5] which was released on September 8, 2021.[6] Alongside author Daniel José Older, Ayala also penned the one-shot comic-book The High Republic Adventures: Galactic Bake-Off Spectacular.[7] which was published on January 19, 2022.[8] The one-shot was part of IDW Publishing's Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures comic series[7] released within the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[9] Ayala later expressed that they were happy they were able to create[10] sweet story custard cake[7] in the comic, noting that the recipe for it worked both in-universe and in real life.[10]
