―A battle droid, to a Shistavanen[1]

The Kyber-Man was the self-proclaimed name used by a male citizen on the planet Tryth. The Kyber-Man once incited a riot, resulting in a bloody incident that was related to a dispute over the planet's Kyber Core, a giant kyber crystal that was believed to make up Tryth's core despite scientific evidence indicating it was fictional.[1] Around 18 BBY,[2] while a battle droid and a Shistavanen guard guarded a yacht owned by the woman Cellia Moten on Tryth, the battle droid informed the Shistavanen of the over one million murders attributed to disputes over the Kyber Core and mentioned the Kyber-Man.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Kyber-Man was mentioned in Sanctuary: A Bad Batch Novel, a 2025 novel by Lamar Giles.[1]
