"There are several famous cases of this sort of thing—my favorite being the excavation of the 'Voorlach Temple' on Krykis IV, the artifacts of which toured three sectors. The 'temple' turned out to be an indoor marketplace, and the 'religious relics' were revealed as common market goods."
―Lecture by Doctor Corellia Antilles[3]

Krykis IV was a terrestrial celestial body[3] located in the Krykis system of the Duluur sector,[1] a part of the Southern Core portion of[2] the Colonies.[1] At some point, an indoor marketplace became buried on Krykis IV, later being excavated by archaeologists of the Galactic Empire. They presented the find as the "Voorlach Temple"[3]—which shared its name with the celestial body Voorlach[4] of the Duluur sector's Voorlach system[5]—and took the common market goods retrieved from the structure, which were instead claimed to be religious artifacts, on a tour through three sectors.[3]

The true nature of the "Voorlach Temple" was later revealed, and in a lecture given at the Galactic Museum on[3] the Core Worlds planet[6] Coruscant[3] around 11 ABY,[7] the xenoarchaeologist Doctor Corellia Antilles noted the Krykis IV incident as her "favorite" among such affairs.[3]

Behind the scenes

Krykis IV was mentioned in Timothy O'Brien's article "From the Files of Corellia Antilles," which was published as part of the fourteenth issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal in August 1997.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Krykis system, and thereby Krykis IV, in grid square M-13.[2]
