Kowakian Monkey Island was a decorative poster available in the galaxy during the Clone Wars. It was put up on an alley next to the Power Sliders diner in the settlement of Pons Ora on the planet Abafar. Its name seemed to be a pun on Kowakian monkey-lizard,[1] a small impish creature from the planet Kowak, known for their shrill laughter.[2]
Behind the scenes
The name of the poster is a reference to the LucasArts adventure games Monkey Island, while the motif is based on the cover art for the fourth game in the series, Escape from Monkey Island.[3]
