Kiughfid was a card game that was played on the main gambling floor at the Outlander Club in the Uscru District of Coruscant, capital of the Galactic Republic. The club used four-armed Besalisk card dealers for the game that were fast and efficient at taking money from players. At least one Besalisk dealer was running a game of kiughfid at a table on the gambling floor when the Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi interrogated the bounty hunter Zam Wesell outside the club[1] in 22 BBY.[2]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, kiughfid was mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations. The image showing kiughfid[1] was illustrated by Hans Jenssen[3] and was part of material reprinted[1] from the 2003 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, which was written by Simon Beecroft and Curtis Saxton and marked the first mention of the game in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[4]
