"You'd be daft if you wanted to go there. Nonetheless, it's your life, not mine."
Talia v'laenya, to a spacer[2]

Kimogila Town was an abandoned city on the planet Lok.

History

"I knew you were hungry for information. Which location do you want to hear about? I have information regarding the 'Kimogila Town', and 'Canyon Corsair Stronghold'. They are all interesting places, I assure you."
―Talia v'laenya, to a spacer[2]

Once an inhabited town, the city was was overrun by massive Kimogilas, forcing its inhabitants to flee and leaving its structures to waste away. During the Galactic Civil War, many criminals took advantage of this situation to sold pieces of land that they claimed was prime real estate. The victims would then travel to the town and meet their fate at the jaws of Kimogila packs.[1] The spy Talia v'laenya once encountered a spacer in Nym's Stronghold and provided information about Kimogila Town.[2]

After the Battle of Yavin, the town became the scene of fighting between Imperial and Rebel operatives.[3][4] In 1 ABY,[5] a Rebel agent killed the bounty hunter Vekis Kiyanu in Kimogila Town because he was pursuing a personal vendetta against Nien Nunb.[6]

In 1 ABY,[5] Kimogila Town was the place of a meeting organized to negotiate peace between the Sulfur Lake Pirates and Nym's Lok Revenants.[7]

  5. 5.0 5.1 The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
