Kiapene trading post was located on[1] the Outer Rim[2] astronomical object Mandrine.[1] Between 232 BBY and 231 BBY,[3] Sarn Starbreaker—a Nihil Cloud in the Tempest led by Tempest Runner Pan Eyta—carried out an unsuccessful raid on Kiapene trading post. During the raid, Starbreaker lost eight pirates, including a number of Strikes, and was himself scarred on the cheek by a Jedi before barely escaping with his Cloudship.[1] In 231 BBY,[3] while leading an attack on the Cyclor Shipyards, Starbreaker mentally recalled his failed raid on Kiapene trading post and the losses he had suffered.[1]
Behind the scenes
Kiapene trading post was mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase I.[4]

As The High Republic Character Encyclopedia further states the conflict began in 232 BBY, the raid must have occurred between 232 BBY and 231 BBY.
