Ket was a terrestrial celestial body[2] located in the Ket system, a part of the Hapes Cluster in the Slice portion of the Inner Rim. It was situated on the Lorell Route hyperlane, which linked it to the Daruvvia and Lovola systems.[1] Its surface featured the Great Dalvechan Deserts, which were home to various succulent plants such as the stillar cactus and where harsh sandstorms could occur. The sentient mammalian species known as the Ketton also hailed from that region.[2] At some point by 2 ABY,[3] the Ketton Derrida had traveled offworld.[2]
Behind the scenes
Ket was first mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas subsequently placed the Ket system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square O-9.[1]
