The Kessel Massacre was an event that took place in the Spice Mines of Kessel at some point before the Battle of Geonosis.[1]
The event began when slaves protested their working conditions in the spice mines of Kessel. The Chistori bounty hunter Cydon Prax was called in to quell the uprising. Prax, a tenacious warrior who fought without compassion, brutally ended the protests with the slaughter of six thousand slaves.[1]
Eventually, Prax became Count Dooku's right-hand enforcer immediately after the death of Jango Fett on Geonosis at the start of the Clone Wars.[1] In 22 BBY,[2] the ruthless mercenary was remembered and feared throughout the galaxy as the man responsible for the Kessel Massacre.[1]
