Kes was a terrestrial planet located in the Tirahnn system,[3] within the Zeemacht Cluster sector of the Inner Rim.[1] Kes occupied the fifth orbital position around the star Tirahnn and had no moons. It featured a frozen rock surface and frigid climate.[3] Along with the rest of its star system, the planet was located on the Perlemian Trade Route hyperlane, which in the Inner Rim served as the dividing line between the regions known as the Northern Dependencies and the Slice.[2]
Behind the scenes
Kes was mentioned in "Triplet Threat," a roleplaying game adventure written by Jason Fry for use with Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game. It was published on the company's website on January 22, 2004.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Tirahnn system, and therefore Kes, in grid square N-8.[2]
