- "Alight Keelo... you're probably dead... but in case you're not, you need to get over here, now. I had to pay some sleemo on the street to get me some food. He wanted four hundred credits! Not like I had much of a choice, did I?"

Jabba the Hutt, who Keelo and their co-conspirator ripped off
Keelo was a criminal that worked with a co-conspirator ripped of Jabba Desilijic Tiure[1] by 3 ABY.[2] Afterwards their co-conspirator made their way to a safe house that had been setup by Keelo on the Outer Rim desert planet Tatooine where they remained for days before sending a transmission to Keelo; to inquired as to Keelo's location, inform them that they had the credits and complained about the poor accommodations of the safehouse.[1]
They eventually sent another transmission to Keelo when they ran out of food and another after they had to flee the hideout to a cave in Tatooine's Jundland Wastes. They were eventually captured by Jabba and sent at least one more transmission to Keelo in which they relayed a message from Jabba that the hutt knew about Keelo and that he would find them. Copies of at least four of these transmissions to Keelo by their co-conspirator were captured by equipment which remained in orbit over Tatooine, Mid Rim planet Kijimi, and the Outer Rim moon Toshara[1] in 3 ABY.[3]
That year,[3] the scoundrel Kay Vess recovered the transmissions and Vess's companion, a BX-series droid commando named ND-5, was able to use transmissions along with several other Clone Wars era transmissions to locate a separatist base on Akiva.[1]
Behind the scenes
Keelo was mentioned in four collectible transmissions in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The four collectible transmissions, titled "On the Run 01" through "On the Run 04", were part of the "Separatist Transmissions" expert intel quest which eventually leads the player to MT-7, another BX-series droid and one of nine experts who the player can complete quests for in order to gain various abilities.[1]
