The Kath were a reptilian sentient species that shared its name with the ocean world[1] Kath II, also known simply as Kath,[2] of the Mid Rim's Dustig sector.[3] During the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, the Kath Thlan-sa served as an Alliance operative.[1] At some point by 2 ABY,[4] the Shatras bounty hunter Ssach'thirix, who only pursued bounties posted on individuals of reptilian species, captured Thlan-sa.[1]

The Kath species was mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1]
