- ―Karsunn Nepto's bounty brief
Karsunn Nepto was a Kajain'sa'Nikto criminal wanted by the Republic Security Force for having ties to several prominent crime syndicates. The bounty for his arrest was posted by the Security Force to interrogate him. In 32 BBY, the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett found Nepto on the planet Coruscant in the Uscru Entertainment District. Nepto fled and ambushed Fett with a group of thugs but was eventually captured alive by the bounty hunter for a sum of 3,000 credits.
Biography
Nepto's bounty was claimed by Jango Fett (pictured).
Years before[3] 32 BBY,[4] Karsunn Nepto was a criminal wanted dead or alive by the Republic Security Force for having ties to[1] several prominent crime syndicates. The Republic Security Force posted the bounty for[3] his[2] arrest to interrogate him.[3] His bounty mentioned that his homeworld was unknown but that his last known location was in the Uscru Entertainment District on the planet Coruscant. A sum of 3,000 credits was offered if Nepto was captured alive or 1,500 if captured dead. It also stated that he had ties to ex-convicts and was armed and dangerous.[1]
In 32 BBY,[4] Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett was hunting for the death stick dealer Jervis Gloom on Coruscant. During this time, Fett encountered Nepto[1] in an L-shaped antechamber in the Entertainment District.[2]
Upon seeing Fett, Nepto ran for the door to escape, running outside to a group of thugs. Fett followed the Nikto and was ambushed by Nepto and the thugs. The bounty hunter dispatched the thugs and captured Nepto alive for the full sum of credits.[2]
Personality and traits
Nepto was a Kajain'sa'Nikto male with orange skin and black eyes. The Nikto had connections to crime syndicates and ex-convicts.[1]
Equipment
He wore a grey jacket over a red shirt with tan pants and black boots. Nepto carried a blaster.[1]
Behind the scenes
Karsunn Nepto is an optional secondary bounty in Star Wars: Bounty Hunter.
Karsunn Nepto first appeared in the 2002 video game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter developed by LucasArts.[1] In the game's accompanying strategy guide written by David Hodgson, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter: Prima's Official Strategy Guide, Nepto's last known location on his bounty is incorrectly listed as "deep spaceports along core trade routes."[2]
In the game, Nepto is the ninth optional secondary bounty that the player can capture in the Coruscant Entertainment District and is labeled as the thirty-fourth bounty overall. Nepto is able to be captured by the player for a higher sum of credits or killed for a lower amount. When confronted, a chase scenario can ensue where Nepto attempts to flee to protection but can be captured before he makes it to his thugs.[1] While Nepto's capture by Fett was confirmed to have canonically occurred by the 2008 reference book The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia,[3] this article assumes that his capture included the full chase scenario.
