The Karsten's World system was a part of the Back Reach area of the Gordian Reach sector within the Trans-Hydian portion of the Outer Rim Territories. It was linked via hyperlane to the Pygorix system, and access to it was restricted to the high abbots of the wealthy celestial body Pygorix, which served as an old religious retreat.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Karsten's World system was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square Q-6.[1]
