Pygorix was a world located in the Pygorix system. It was situated in the Back Reach area of the Gordian Reach sector within the Trans-Hydian portion of the Outer Rim Territories. The hyperlane known as the Ardan Cross connected it to the Feldwes system as well as the Spintir system of the Spadja sector. A smaller hyperspace route linked Pygorix to the Karsten's World system.[1]
Pygorix served as a religious retreat known for centuries-long study of the religious beliefs and experiences of various species. Fees collected at an orbital station that served as a customs port made Pygorix a wealthy world, and access to the nearby Karsten's World system was restricted to the high abbots of Pygorix.[1]
Behind the scenes
Pygorix was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square Q-6.[1]
