Karnex dragons were a species of predators native to the planet Drahgor III, which normally lived deep underground.
Biology and appearance
They had a tough hide, which made them immune to blaster bolts but their eyes were sensitive to light. Their diet consisted of small mammals, rodents, and other prey.[1]
Behavior
They preferred to be left alone, but would attack if disturbed.[1]
History
The old Gozzo flock that had lived on the planet encountered the dragons while drilling to the deep core, and left behind warnings and legends to their descendants about never drilling that far deep, lest the dragons be released. Flanx, the owner of a fuel refinery on the planet, disregarded the legends and released several dragons while drilling for fuel. Flanx's cousin Flix and Kazuda Xiono came to Drahgor III to buy some fuel for the space station Colossus. While fixing the laser drill Flanx discovered that the dragons were real and one of the dragons dragged Flanx into their home. Flix worked with Xiono to save his cousin and drive the dragons back underground and sealing them away again.[3]
