Kar Plaushe was a Human female socialite from the planet Coruscant who frequented the Outlander Club. In 22 BBY, she visited the club at the same time the bounty hunters Jango Fett and Zam Wesell did. Shortly after in that same year, she walked in the club with a fellow socialite as the Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi entered behind them, searching for Wesell.
Biography
Kar Plaushe was a veil-wearing Human female socialite native to[1] the planet[3] Coruscant.[1] She[2] frequented the Outlander Club,[1] a nightclub and gambling hall located in the Uscru Entertainment District of Coruscant,[4] prior to the start of the Clone Wars[1] in 22 BBY.[5]
In 22 BBY,[6] she visited the club when the bounty hunters Jango Fett and Zam Wesell met there. She stood with her back turned to the[7] Human Joshua Jinzler.[8] During a night[9] shortly after in that same year,[5] Plaushe, who was without a partner at the time,[10] entered the club, hand–in–hand[9] with a fellow socialite.[10] Just prior to that, Wesell had ran into the club, trying to escape from the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker after an assassination attempt on Senator Padmé Amidala.[9] Inside the club, the two socialites got to know each other.[10] While Skywalker searched the club, Plaushe walked by[9] the Lorrdian Seib Nod.[11]
Personality and traits
Plaushe was a mysterious[2] woman who had light skin[1] and green eyes.[2]
Equipment
During her two visits to the Outlander,[9][7] the socialite wore a black top, a jacket, a black skirt, silver heels, and a veil.[12]
Behind the scenes
Kar Plaushe was created for the prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones,[9] which released on May 16, 2002.[13] The Outlander Club exterior scenes, which included Plaushe, were shot at Fox Studios, Sydney. The interior scenes were also shot there on July 17, 2000.[3] Prior to the film's release, Plaushe was first pictured in "Casting Director Robin Gurland", an article published in the fifty-second issue of Star Wars Insider magazine[2] on February 27, 2001.[14] The character then first appeared in the young readers book Jango Fett: Bounty Hunter, written by Eric Arnold and illustrated by Valerie Reckert[7] and released on April 23, 2002.[15] Plaushe first received her name in the 2005 reference book Dressing a Galaxy: The Costumes of Star Wars, written by Trisha Biggar.[8]

- ↑ The New Essential Chronology dates the events of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones to 22 BBY. The scene from Jango Fett: Bounty Hunter in which Jango Fett is in the Outlander Club takes place immediately before the film, therefore meaning it must be set in that year.
