Kamima (Japanese: かみま)[4] (born August 23)[1] is the pen name[4] of a Japanese[2] artist who creates storyboards for manga and webtoons.[3] Kamima assisted with the layout of the fourth volume of the Star Wars: The High Republic: The Edge of Balance manga series, which was published by Viz Media[5] on April 22, 2025 as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase III. The volume's art was created by Mizuki Sakakibara and its story was written by Shima Shinya and Daniel José Older.[6]
Before the volume's release, Kamima announced on Twitter on April 7 of that year that they had worked on the manga.[7] Kamima also created a design for[8] the Nihil marauder[5] Maktan Plynt, and they enjoyed drawing Plynt's interactions with Jedi Master Sav Malagán. Kamima did research for their work by looking at other High Republic Era series, American comics, and Star Wars films, which they found to be a difficult but fun job.[8]
